PROJECT - KATE CARNELL'S $38,000.00 HEAD SHAVE FUNDRAISER
Investment: $15,000.00
In 1997, on stage at a Southern Cross Club Event, the then Chief Minister Kate Carnell was asked what it would cost for her to shave her head for children with cancer when "Crop-A-Cop" 1997 launched. Crop-A-Cop later morphed into the "Worlds Greatest Shave"
Kate was a wonderful positive leader and off the cuff said $10,000.00. With that the Head of the Club said they would put up $5,000.00.
Greg and Teija Zwajgenberg, with the cause being Children with Cancer, immediately put up the other $5000.00, and the shave was set.
Kate's Hairdresser John Ciacia, Canberra's leading Hairdresser was a friend and so Kate arranged for John to cut her hair and it was being done live on Canberra radio. In the interim we agreed with Kate that we would place $15,000.00 in a "$Dollar for $Dollar" Community challenge match for every dollar raise on air and The IF... Dream Team would would match it up to the value of $15,000.00.
When. the event went live to air and callers pledging $donations against the $15,000.00 that morning we jointly raised with Kate an amazing $38,000.00, which was an incredible achievement due to Kate's popularity with the Canberra community.
The donation was a seed that inspired the community to support Kate's brave natured shave, that was clearly a bold move Kate in a political Head of State role.
The result was outstanding and worth every $Dollar, and the proceeds went to the ACT Cancer Society and Woden Hospital's Oncology Unit for much needed equipment.
MATHEW 13:31-32...“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches"
PROJECT - CHILDREN'S HIGH DEPENDANCY UNIT, CANBERRA (WODEN) HOSPITAL
Investment: $60,000.00
In 1997 when Greg and Teija Zwajgenberg underwrote the ACT Chief Minister, Kate Carnell, on her "Crop-A-Cop" Cancer Fundraising Initiative, the subject of the inability of Woden Hospital to care for older babies and children with serious illness in their own "High Dependancy Hospital Unit" was discussed in relation to a friend's young daughter who had to share a room with adult intensive care patients, and the fact that there was no place for the mother to stay overnight alongside her daughter.
Whilst neonatal and adult intensive care facilities existed, there was nothing in-between. As a result Greg and Teija Zwajgenberg provided an anonymous donation in 1997 to establish the first Paediatric High Dependancy Unit (HDU) for the high-dependancy care of children at Woden Hospital.
Greg Zwajgenberg "The amazing God Moment in all of this was when Dr Angus McIntosh, the then Head of Paediatrics saved our son Shane's life a few years after our donation. I also personally witnessed the work of the HDU Unit saving lives first-hand, in a little girl who occupied a spare bed in Shane's room while awaiting discharge following her stay in the HDU.
The feeling as I reflected on her, as I was sleeping alongside Shane recovering for the next 7-10 days, was simply life-changing. We had saved the lives of countless children across the world, but this time it was incredibly close to home.
While attending a Conference in Nevada USA Teija called advising Shane had become ill, it was serious and he was already in hospital. I flew straight back and spent 24/7 at his side. He had an infection that had spread rapidly down into his lungs.
On what looked like recovery, Angus dropped into see Shane just prior to release. As we had not looked at the HDU in its finished state he then took Teija and me on tour of the facilities.
When we had finished Angus looked at Shane who was about to be discharged, to us he seemed fine, and Angus said 'let me look at him one last time', words I have never forgotten.
He then took a stethoscope and examined Shane, at which point Shane was rushed into surgery and 3/4 of a litre of fluid was drained from under his lungs. Insertion Scars from the tubes he has to this day.
Angus' incredible eye and instinctive senses averted a serious life threatening misjudgement of Shane's condition, and in that moment it was clear that a lifetime of giving into the lives of others comes back in so many different ways.
To all the children who ever needed critical care at Woden Hospital HDU, this was our personal journey and ultimate legacy".

PROJECT - ACT CHILDREN'S ONCOLOGY SERVICE DIRECTORY
Investment: $15,000.00
In 1997 Teija Zwajgenberg with a passion for Oncology, worked with and funded the Cancer Society to develop Canberra's first "ACT Children's Oncology Service Directory" to support families in how to seek assistance from the various institutions and ACT Government should their child be diagnosed with cancer.
The project's development involved:
The project was completed during 1998 and involved a compilation of information, artwork, design and layout, piloting with sample groups including feedback completed in early 1998, and the directory in the form of a booklet was formally launched and in print by mid 1998.
The Handbook was circulated to over 50 relevant medical agencies, organisations, associations and ACT Government agencies for dissemination to affected families.
This service was sincerely welcomed in the absence of any consistent, cohesive and detailed information being available previously.
See the "ACT CHILDERN'S ONCOLOGY SERVICE DIRECTORY" video below.

PROJECT - LIFEUC (PREVIOUSLY CCLC) DREAM CENTRE PURCHASE
Investment (1999): $250,000.00 Loan
Investment(2008): $500,000.00 Gift
In 1999 Jim McMillan, the Youth Pastor of Canberra Christian Life Centre (CCLC), discovered Charnwood High School, the future CCLC Dream Centre, on a morning walk surrounded in construction fencing. It had been decommissioned by the Commonwealth Government, sold to a developer and had been mothballed awaiting redevelopment.
Jim, a silent hero in all this, seeing it as an awesome opportunity for CCLC to develop a Community Outreach Centre, made enquiries as to the circumstances surrounding the 7500sqm building complex sitting on a 13 acre site.
As it turned out Canberra land developer, Walter Pinto, had purchased the property from the Commonwealth Government for the purposes of turning the School into a Licensed Club, under a $4M purchase caveat by the ACT Government. Walter also had developed plans for 80 Townhouses on 4 acres of the 17 acre site, where existing Tennis Courts were located.
The property was also nearing the expiry of its required development caveat, and as a result Walter was open to an offer to purchase the undeveloped 13 acre remainder of the site, as he was simultaneously concluding the Townhouse project sale to a fellow developer Tony Tokich for $2.7M.
Greg Zwajgenberg, an entrepreneur and now surpassing 38 years as a long-standing member of the Church, first met Sean Stanton the Church's new Senior Pastor, after arriving in Canberra 25 years ago, under interesting circumstances.
In their first coffee Greg offered Sean a $22Million gift of a set of three buildings Albermarle, Alexander & Fishburn House in Woden with a revenue stream of $4.5M P/A for CCLC, sadly the circumstances saw CCLC miss out on the opportunity some 3 years prior. Now worth over $100M.
Both Greg, Colin Thirkettle the Churches Financial Lead, and one of Australia's leading Financial minds, and Sean Stanton the Senior Pastor of CCLC were committed to not missing out ever again, and were determined to get the opportunity, Jim McMillan had discovered, over the line for the Church.
In a Faith driven offer, the Church offered $500,000.00 knowing the Site was worth circa $10-12 Million. In a God inspired set of dealings Walter accepted the peppercorn offer, under negotiations with Greg Zwajgenberg.
The sale was set and the rest was history, CCLC, now LifeUC, had a new home and the hard work then began with awesome volunteers to reestablish the site. Initially Greg Zwajgenberg became the Board Chair of CCLC's Life Projects, the appointed owner of the site, later in 2003 stepping down to help rescue Brindabella Christian College from imminent closure.
During all the negotiations Teija Zwajgenberg initially in 1999, paid a $250,000.00 deposit to Walter Pinto to secure the sale allowing Colin Thirkettle and the Church to sell their existing site in Cook and also arrange Loans for the $500,000.00.
In 2008 Teija Zwajgenberg, sharing Greg Zwajgenberg and Colin Thirkettle's spirit filled and God centred heart for the Church, gave CCLC's Life Projects a gift $500,000.00 to pay out the Church's original Loans, leaving Life Projects and CCLC in a significantly better financial position going forward.
What CCLC, now LifeUC, has been able to achieve in the Community is incredibly well known in Christian circles, and an incredible example of "To God Be The Glory". In asset valuation alone the replacement cost of the existing buildings now exceeds $50Million.

PROJECT - DREAM CENTRE TREASURY FURNITURE FITOUT
Investment: $10,000.00+ (In Product)
Following the purchase of the Charnwood High School by Canberra Christian Life Centre (CCLC) an opportunity for office partitioning, fixtures and furniture from the Commonwealth Treasury Building came to Greg Zwajgenberg from a business associate "Rosco" the then owner of Recon Furniture.
This allowed CCLC to fit-out the Main Offices of the Church, as a gift to CCLC's Life Projects new Dream Centre owners, Life Projects. This also included the Fitout of the Church's Board Room and Senior Pastor, Sean Stanton's, Offices in Executive timber and leather executive chairs.
The balance of the Treasury salvage were used by the Church in other areas of the Dream Centre complex and the 2-floors of "New" Display Furniture by Eagle Group on Head Office Fitout.

PROJECT - MICHAEL DELL PRECISION PC LAUNCH, HYATT REGENCY COOLUM & SG3D
Investment: $10,000.00+ (In Services)
Having developed a unique partnership with DELL Australia, Greg & Teija Zwajgenberg's Eagle Group SG3D became an inaugural user of DELL's Precision products in their Animation and Film Studios, utilising some $1Million in Servers, Racks, Storage, Switches and PC Equipment Hardware.
Michael Thompson was the Head of DELL Corporation's Government business interests and a great allay of Eagle Group. A simply exemplary person Michael also raced in off-road motorsports, in particular High-Performance Rally Cars, in the times of Possum Borne and his untimely death in 2003. SG3D also sponsored Michael in his racing pursuits.
At this time Michael Dell was taking on Silicon Graphics high performance animation PC's across the Global Markets, named 'Precision'.
In the year 2000 Michael was launching his then move into his Xeon version of the 3D Precision PC Range and related high Performance Storage Solutions. To this end Michael planned a DELL launch for Asia Pacific in the Hyatt Column that a friend of Eagle Group developed in the 80's, as it was one of Australia's leading resorts at the time.
A significant display marque was constructed housing $Millions in product. Over 170 IT Executive guests from Asia Pacific attended the event which included a $250,000.00 fireworks display supported by Yothu Yindi playing over dinner.
SG3D were providing technical support for the event when discussions with Michael Dell turned into a highly ambitious project to network all equipment on display under MAX Software Render Farming to render an entire animated opening sequence for Michael Dell to interact with live.
The result was a "Proof of Concept' win for Michael at the event and helped cement DELL as an alternative premier product choice for Silicon Graphics product users.
Eagle Group's SG3D had an awesome experience at the event, walked away with all the product on display at a nominal cost and had a surreal time with Michael Dell, creating Green Screen live action with Michael and imbedding the DELL Precision 620 PC into the scenes as an animated dog.
It also cemented the relationship in Michael's mind when China TV needed help in Beijing with technical Render Farming issues on MAX and MAYA Software when moving from 2D to 3D, so Michael called and another bleeding edge adventure began, Greg and his SG3D Team travelling to Beijing to help create history.

PROJECT - RESCUE OF BRINDABELLA, GREG ZWAJGENBERG BOARD DIRECTOR
Investment: $3,000,000.00+ (In Services)
As part of a small dedicated group of individuals saving the College from imminent closure, Greg Zwajgenberg has devoted over 20-Years of his life to the growth of Brindabella Christian College into one of Canberra's leading academic Early Learning (ELC) to Year-12 schools. With 30-50% of the College's students achieving ATAR scores over 90% each year to its top students achieving between 99 and near perfect 100% ATAR scores.
Greg Zwajgenberg "The College is a bleeding edge leader on many fronts, such as our move into "International Distance Education", being the "First Private School in Australia to be Commonwealth Certified as Carbon Neutral" as part of our goal to be a ZNE industry leader, and that we are independently rated under GENOS as 15-23% safer a school for staff & teachers than other Major Private Schools in Australia, are already significantly trending in Social Media as we enter 2022.
Such a great start to the year amidst all the chaos and uncertainty of Covid-19 and our newly changed realities.
My personal thanks goes out to John Hunt-Sharman who I worked closely with from 2002 to 2015 to rescue the College from closure by the Uniting Church and taking the College from 267 K to Year-10 Students through to over 1,500 6-Month old ELC children to Year-12 children and students across two campuses and two Early Learning Centres."

PROJECT - HAND UP
Investment: $15,000.00
Greg and Teija Zwajgenberg, pre-funding the creation of Canberra Christian Life Centre's (CCLC) Canberra City Care "Hand Up", created to help those in need.
Financial hardship can strike anyone, an unexpected crisis, the loss of a job, health problems, or any number of other reasons making it difficult to someone provide for themselves and their family. Sometimes it can be hard to accept help. Sometimes it’s hard to know who to even ask.
Specifically "Hand Up" was and is a way of helping people with food and everyday essentials when things get tough.
It was established as a non-profit service, supported by volunteers and the kind donations of various companies and individuals. Because of this, "Hand Up" can offer bread, fruit and vegetables (depending on availability) and a range of other groceries at substantially reduced prices.
The service is manned on a regular day-to-day basis for those experiencing financial hardship and the store stocks a range of food and other essentials, including:

PROJECT - COLLEGE ANIMATED FLY-THROUGHS
Investment: $10,000.00+ (In Services)
With enrolments reducing to a 5 year low since independently taking over Brindabella Christian College from the Uniting Church there existed a resolve within the BCEL Board to rethink the marketing of the College.
Specifically Brindabella Christian College as a little known K to 10 Campus in Lyneham ACT with a small visual footprint on drive by, buried amongst two academically strong local Public Schools Lyneham Primary and Lyneham Secondary School, needed to change.
With new parents enrolling their children following successful advertising of the College, they needed to be taken on a journey of what the future holds fro their children, and what is possible for the College as a long-term Vision and Mission.
Prior to 2006 the College was in a poor state, most classes were being held on 40-year old Snowy Mountain demountable classrooms, and in 2006 the new Technology and Science Building was recently completed.
Eagle's SG3D Animation and Film Studio prepared several 3D Fly-throughs of future works being completed which was shown at P&F Meetings and Staff gatherings to assist in getting on board with the Vision and Mission.

PROJECT - JESUS ALL ABOUT LIFE MEDIA CAMPAIGN Investment: $150,000.00+
The Bible Society across Australia collaborated with local churches to run “Jesus, All About Life“, an advertising campaign using interactive, print and television commercials to encourage a positive public awareness of Jesus.
The campaign launched in South Australia in 2005 and in Canberra in 2006, The first phase of the campaign used Facebook, Twitter and blogs inviting people to visit an online gallery at "allaboutlife.com.au" to contribute photographs and short prayers of thanks.
The second phase of the campaign involved press, banners, web sites and posters on bus shelters.
The third phase of the campaign featured in cinemas and television advertising, using “Jesus Has Answers” in a 30 second commercial narrated by a young adult, leading viewers to www.allaboutlife.com.au.
Eagle Group's Animation and Film Studio, SG3D, having extensive relationships with local TV Media outlets arranged for over $150,000.00 in additional TV airtime for the Bible Society's campaign “Jesus, All About Life“ to assist the with the impact of the campaign which then assisted in other regions reducing their overall TV airtime through a reallocation of national spending on the campaign.

PROJECT - 12 x TV COMMERCIALS PRODUCED BY SG3D, INCLUDING FREE TV ADVERTISING & RADIO VOICEOVER AIRTIME
Investment: $ 90,000.00+
In 2008, with enrolments reducing to a 5 year low since independently taking over Brindabella College from the Uniting Church, there existed a resolve within the BCEL Board to rethink the marketing of the College.
Following a Board Retreat in early 2007 the Board unanimously made a decision to commit $100K per into a 4-week marketing campaign for the College with the funding of the campaign going 85% toward Bus Advertising and 15% toward Local AM Radio airtime supporting the visual Bus Advertising that dominated the then Canberra landscape.
Additionally, students across the entire College were asked to write a paragraph of why they "Loved the College". The students writing best stories were then video interviewed by SG3D.
Eagle Group's SG3D Animation and Film Studio then provided, at no cost, for the video recording of over 30 students and the editing, compilation and production of some 12 x TV Commercials which ran on Commercial TV airtime SG3D paid for, in addition to free CSA airtime. "This included a remarkable statement by a student that would simply not pass today..."
Utilising the TV Ad sound for the 12 x Radio Adds, all advertising ran simultaneously with the inaugural College Bus Advertising Ads the College undertook, now synonymous with the College's public media identity.
The bus advertising involved advertising on 100 buses on the north of Canberra to convey simple and direct messages to the Canberra public. As parents drove throughout Canberra the Bus Adds were constantly reinforced by radio interviews with children attending the College on the local Christian Radio Station and two AM Stations. Families then came home to local TV playing ads prior to various News time slots.
Brindabella’s situation of being a little known K to 10 Campus in Lyneham ACT with a small visual footprint on drive by, buried amongst two academically strong local Public Schools Lyneham Primary and Lyneham Secondary School, was about to change.
Despite 11 families moving interstate and 29 students leaving as a result of reaching year 10, this add campaign produced an immediate response with 42 inquiries resulting in the highest intake of new students in 5 years (remembering this was on the starting base of our lowest recorded enrolment year in 5 years).
This student growth paved the way for a successful application for $966K in Federal Capital Grant funding and underpinned the Boards decision to build a new Technical, Arts & Science Building (TAS Wing) to accommodate future student growth.
