PROJECT - "OPERATION HEAT" KAZAKHSTAN, MISSIONARIES DOUG & ANNA BOYLE
Investment: $56,000.00 + $12,000 = $68,000.00
Missionaries "Doug and Anna Boyle", two amazing people who obeyed God’s call on their lives, and took their four boys to Kazakhstan in Faith. They were the first western missionaries to enter this former Communist nation and establish a missions outreach which later became Teen Challenge Kazakhstan.
Known as the "Teen Challenge Alma Ata", the Teen Challenge centre for women, previously a 1200square meter Kindergarten and Nunnery, opened in March of 1995 as female accomodation and the resident Kazakhstan AOG Church, initially supplying the needs of over 150 people.
Khazakhstan experiences sub-zero temperatures as low as -30 Degrees, and the female accomodation was not heated and urgently required new boilers and hot water piping throughout the building.
This need became first Global Care Project conducted by AOG World Missions in December of 1996 and named "Operation Heat", specifically to urgently redevelop the heating system in Teen Challenge Alma Ata for the Mission to survive.
When World Missions failed to raise the funds from the inaugural appeals conducted, Greg and Teija Zwajgenberg supplied critical financial support necessary to supply the heating renovations required.
Greg Zwajgenberg "Some 4-years later we received an unsolicited beautiful and heartfelt letter of thanks from Doug and Anna Boyle who had traced us down through George Forbes, the Director of AOG World Missions, and 15 years later in an unannounced visit Doug and Anna arrived on our doorstep to let us personally comprehend the significance of what they had achieved, reminding Teija and I the lives we prayerfully chose to invest in make a difference to help change the World......"
Together, Doug and Anna had established the first Christian Drug Rehab in the Soviet Union in 1995, Teen Challenge Kazakhstan, and the following year they established the Assemblies of God in Kazakhstan which arguably grew into the largest Mission of its kind in the world, and through these two ministries up to 80 churches have been planted from Israel to Western China!
In 2010, they moved to Georgia and since then they have planted a church and built a Teen Challenge Centre in Tbilisi. They have sent graduates from the Tbilisi Church and Rehab into Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran and Turkey and they are presently building a Leadership Training Centre in Batumi on the Turkish border to multiply that effect by sending more missionaries to the adjacent countries. In 2014 they then planted Teen Challenge in Armenia.
Over the years Doug & Anna and their team have rehabilitated thousands of Drug Addicts which has resulted in many becoming disciples of Jesus with some becoming Pastors of large churches in places like Russia & Mogal China.
The Boyles at a personal level paid a high physical and mental price, however, despite the incredible challenges they have faced from the kidnapping of their son to 20+ robberies, street shootings, suicides, the climate & culture, their Faith and devotion to God has never been shaken.
From the seed we planted, the Teen Challenge Kazakhstan's programs saved 1000's of children's lives and in Kazakhstan alone had expanded into 22 Churches all run by graduates of their diverse programs, which included 17 Educational Institutions, alongside numerous Women's Shelters, Orphanages, Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centres and Aids Clinics, all serving a diverse Kazakstan community of Russians, Uighurs and Kazakhs.

JEREMIAH 17:14..."Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." and Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation"
PROJECT - MISSIONS FIELD TRIP
Investment: $8,000.00+
In 2004 Pastors "Harry & Jackie Leesment" led a group of friends, Greg & Teija Zwajgenberg Executive Directors of the Imagination Foundation, Nicole & Chris Malcolm Chairman of the Franchise Council of Australia and owner of the Clark Rubber Franchise, Lawrence Hirsch Executive Director Celebrate Messiah Australia and Rita Ivenskis interpreter on a Missions Field Outreach through Far East Russia.
In Faith Teija joined the team with chronic back pain from near death vehicle accident and chronic fatigue. In South Korea while visiting David Yonggi Cho’s Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul is the world’s largest congregation, with more than 700,000 parishioners, Teija was healed of Chronic Fatigue when David specifically prayed for healing from the disease in his service.
The trip was centred on reaching out to the "Lost Jews of Stalin’s Forgotten Zion in Far East Russia" and we visited the Jewish communities of Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and Birobidzhan (the Jewish Autonomous Region) and found that the timing of the visit was God ordained.
We had the privilege to meet with the Jewish community leaders, as well as Christian Pastors who have a heart to reach out to their Jewish neighbours with the message of Jesus Christ.
We established great contacts for future visits and a Messianic Congregation in Birobidzhan was established through Celebrate Messiah supporting a family in Birobidzhan as they began with a messianic bible study in their home which, with God’s blessing, has now grown into multiple congregations and youth outreaches.
Seperate to the central mission, we also looked at establishing formal orphanages in the regions we travelled in, however, the Russian Mafia's influence was too great. Within the public orphanages the children were prostituted on the weekends. Sadly, the number one aspiration of teenage boys being to join the Russian Mafia and the for teenage girls to be prostitutes.
The result was an alternative Mission Field, through a Paster we met Ps Alexey's Bible School in Vladivostok, of training students to work building a network of Family Home Orphanages (FHOs), invisible small scale orphanage created in dedicated Christian's private homes.
Then JESUS came to them and said...“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
MARK 16:15..."He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation"
PROJECT - "OPERATION HEAT" KAZAKHSTAN 1996
"In December 1996, AOG World Missions opened their new Australian Headquarters and simultaneously launched a new Global Care initiative named "Operation Heat", a critical female humanitarian aid project in Kazakstan. Sadly for various reasons no funds were committed by those attending their launch As a result Teija & Greg then committed to fund the entire project, later turning into Teen Challenge Kazakstan, the largest Mission of its kind in the World"
