Located in the College's Central Campus in the Australian Capital Territory, Middle to Senior School students are the proud recipients of EVT Energy's prototyped AUS-E® "Solar Tree", powering a range of items in a closed "Off-Grid" energy loop, from the College's new "Solar-BBQ", proximity lighting, electric heating through to Video Security & Surveillance.
The EVT Energy AUS-E® "Solar Tree", retail value of $180,000.00 Ex GST and discounted to Brindabella Christian College at cost $125,000.00 Ex GST, additionally including 10 x years of free maintenance valued at $30,000.00 Ex GST, was donated through the generosity of Eagle Group's EVT Energy in conjunction with a $25,000.00 Ex GST Grant from Actsmart | Climate Change and Sustainability | EPSDD | ACT Government Grants (Secured by Greg Zwajgenberg via Brindabella Christian College).
EVT Energy assisted Brindabella Christian College to achieve establishing the "1st Zero Net Energy (ZNE) Private School In Australia". Brindabella Christian College leads the charge on supporting Clean Energy initiatives within the education sector in Australia and were committed to achieve reducing the College’s carbon footprint to carbon-neutral by mid-2021, and then achieved being the first ZNE private school in the country that same year. Highlights comprise:
• A ZNE Junior School Wing in the College's Central Campus, and a ZNE Building Complex in their Norwest Campus.
• In the College's Central Campus, the entire Junior School Wing's energy activities, from solar panels capturing over 300KW on the roof, via intelligent storage and finally through to energy consumption in the classrooms being displayed on flat panel TV screens in animated graphics for the education of their Junior School students.
The EVT Energy AUS-E® "Solar Tree", utilises integrated Intelligent Energy Storage, providing "Clean Energy Education" via "Smart Phone Apps", allowing students to learn first-hand about solar collection in conjunction with energy storage, through to interactively powering, a variety of utilities and services in real-time.
