PROJECT - MIDDLE SCHOOL PLAYGROUND
Investment: $50,000.00
This project involved Greg and Teija Zwajgenberg... Greg Stated "Funding a middle school playground development for Brindabella Christian College in 2008 & our son's 'welcome to the real world' humorous induction to life as a senior student...
...The College had a desperate need for playground infrastructure as the College was rapidly growing, however, the College's Main Campus in Lyneham operated on the compressed footprint.
At that time, our son Shane was in Middle School, and our daughter Sarah had started her Brindabella journey some 7 years behind our son.
Teija and I felt that it was a worthwhile and needy cause, as the College had little spare funds and what we had was being sent on much needed infrastructure. In addition we had, at that time failed on a Commonwealth Capital Grant Application for outdoor play equipment.
So this need was compounded by a lost Commonwealth Capital Grant funding opportunity. Therefore, we then ordered the product from Europe, after discussion with stakeholders and looking through an array of options available at the time in relation to play equipment.
There was a significant amount of science around the choice, and the overall quality was higher than locally sourced available options at that time.
The shipment arrived in Term-4 of 2008 and during the College Christmas Break we erected the equipment, laid soft fall and covered the playground in shade cloth, all in readiness for Brindabella Christian College's Term-1 of 2009.
The absolute irony, and humorous moment in relation to this particular project, was that it was made ready for School Term-1 of 2009, as I mentioned. However, in 2009 Shane had actually graduated from Middle School to Senior School.
So when he went to play on the new playground he was summarily told by the Middle School children he wasn't allowed to play on it because it was their playground and he was a Senior - LOL.
To which he said 'we paid for this playground', and the children replied 'that doesn't matter...' to this day we still laugh about it as a family, and I am sure there is a 'Life Lesson' in there somewhere"

PROJECT - CANBERRA CITY CARE FIT-OUT
Investment: $80,000.00
Greg Zwajgenberg... "Teija and I have spent decades provided seeding to projects that in and of themselves develop a life of their own, impacting communities across the world".
In 2008 the Canberra City Care (CCC) expansion project was a little closer to home in Australia, and continues to be a beautiful outreach to families in need, providing a range of critical services.
CCC has grown from small beginnings to a busy community hub that offers low cost food, clothing, IT equipment and debt management to over 300 families every week.
CCC was established as a community outreach service of Canberra Christian Life Centre shortly after moving into their new premises in the old Charnwood High School building in 2001.
The church has since changed names to Life Unlimited Church (LifeUC), and in 2010 CCC moved into a larger refurbished section of the building.
CCC now operates with the assistance of over 50 amazing volunteers, and work in close relationship with a variety of community organisations within the ACT. Such a blessing to the Canberra Community.

PROJECT - COMMERCIAL AIR-CONDITIONING FITOUT EX CANBERRA CLUB
Investment: $150,000
($95,000.00 Air-Conditioning, $63,052.37 & $1,300.00 Installation King Air via BCEL)
In 2017 Greg & Teija Zwajgenberg supplied near new Air-conditioning Plant that was part of a building salvage Eagle Group's Global Vision Technologies (GVT) undertook as part of the closure of the Canberra Club, the oldest Private Club in the Australian Capital Territory.
The Canberra Club had replaced the plant and equipment through an extensive $1.7M Insurance Claim, however, then later sold the base building which was then subsequently demolished.
The core 17 Cassettes and 4 Main Air-Conditioning Units were used to air-condition the "Street and Cafe" of the LifeUC building complex, home to Brindabella Christian College's Norwest Early Learning and K to 6 Junior College Campus.
The works were completed with LifeUC being supplied with the equipment and installation via King Air through BCEL, undertaken to assist with improving the joint LifeUC and Brindabella Christian College's overall heating and cooling requirements.
PROVERBS 11:24-25..."One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered"
PROJECT - REHABILITATION CLINIC ADMISSION
Investment: $5,000.00
In 2017 Greg & Teija Zwajgenberg sponsored Peter Keeley into rehabilitation for personal drug abuse. Peter was an awesome dedicated individual and father, that fell victim to the invasive lure of substance abuse and was committed to his rehabilitation.
The father-of-three was a real estate agent, auctioneer in Canberra, and also a former president of the West Belconnen Junior Rugby League Club who was sadly killed by three young assailants well before his time on 2 February 2020.
The West Rugby League Club posted on Facebook that shared our sentiments that they were saddened to hear of Peter's passing. "Our thoughts are with Peter's family at this time," the post said. His brother Richard Keeley is also a well-known auctioneer in Canberra.
Attending the funeral and spending time with the family, Greg Zwajgenberg stated "Peter worked closely with our son at First National and was always a pleasure to be around, with a continually humorous take on life, and being left in stitches laughing part of every conversation"

PROJECT - BRINDABELLA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE COMPREHENSIVE OFFICE & CLASSROOM FITOUT
Investment: $440,000.00+ (In Product)
In 2017 the Commonwealth Department of Education Skills and Employment (DESE) moved Headquarters from 17 Moore St Canberra, leaving behind $Millions in near new Fitout, Furniture and related items.
Imagination Foundation IF... assembled a volunteer crew of 20+ over 5-weeks and salvaged circa $1.5M in retail value of items, of which $870,000.00 were donated to Brindabella Christian College. These items formed a complete upgrading of office and teaching areas in AV, partitions, desks, cupboards, benches, tables and chairs.
For the purposes of appraisal the value was then discounted to circa $440,000.00 (as items were "as new", however, not new).
The Fitout from the 5 x floors of DESE Headquarters resulted in half of 13 x Containers and several 4 Tonne trucks shipped direct to the College, all consisted of near new and new items in excellent condition. Such a shameless waste by the Departments Executives, however, a true blessing to Brindabella Christian College.
2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-8..."Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work"
