From the age of 10 through to her Year-12 Graduation, "Janet Mukamutara" was sponsored by Greg and Teija Zwajgenberg and provided with health care, meals, uniforms, all required books, study material and supporting supplies for her High-School education. Janet completed her studies in preparation for Secretarial work as a young woman.
Janet was centred on God in her life, and her love of God is expressed in her words in her letters over the years as she was growing up, including:
"...We need to pray for each other because God its the only one who enables us, you cannot live without prayer and see things working out"
